The cabbage soup diet is a short-term diet, meant to last for 7 days. So what does the cabbage soup diet entail?
As you might have guessed, the main food used in the diet is the cabbage soup diet. Each day there is a specific kind of food to be eaten, along with the cabbage soup. Because your food options are so limited, it could be easy to get bored with this diet, but since it lasts only 7 days, it is somewhat easy to follow. You won't be able to eat out during this diet, so if you plan to follow it, pick a week when you will be at home and will have access to the kitchen.

Day 5: Up to twenty ounces of beef, chicken or fish and up to 6 fresh tomatoes. Eat the cabbage soup. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water. Water is particularly important on this day, as it is needed to wash the uric acid away.
Day 6: Eat as much beef, chicken or fish and vegetables as you like. Use leafy green vegetables particularly. Eat cabbage soup at least once. No baked potato.
Day 7: Unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables, along unlimited beef, chicken or fish. Also, eat brown rice and your cabbage soup.
Make sure you drink at least 4 glasses of water each day. Take a multivitamin daily. use a variety of spices to flavor the soup and to make it more interesting. Stick to the diet as written and don't make substitutions.
While the cabbage soup diet might be a bit regimented, it is only for 7 days, so concentrate on the assurance that almost everyone will be able to lose a few pounds on this diet.
